Frequently asked questions
We tried to answer some of the most common questions about digital marketing, but we’re sure you still have plenty more.
How much should my digital advertising budget be?
There’s no fixed budget, and industry benchmarks only tell you so much; it depends on your prospective customers and what you’re asking the campaign to do. What matters more is effectiveness, which relies on setting up the account properly, targeting the right audience, having a dependable funnel, and landing pages that perform. A modest budget spent on a sound setup beats a large one spent on a broken path.
What does website content management include?
Our services cover planning, creating, editing, publishing, and regularly updating your website’s content –such as product listings, blog posts, and marketing campaigns, that keeps your website accurate, engaging, and optimized for your audience and search engines. We work closely with your developer, and can use various content management systems that fit your e-commerce business needs.
Do you create the ad creatives or only manage the campaigns?
Both. We produce the creative and the copy alongside running the campaigns, which keeps the message consistent from the ad through to the page it lands on. If you already have creative assets or a brand team producing them, we’ll work with what you have and fill in around it.
How long does SEO take to show results?
Technical fixes can register within weeks. Rankings and organic traffic usually take three to six months of consistent work, longer in competitive categories or on sites with little history. The variables are your starting position, how contested your keywords are, and how much can actually be changed on the site.
Do we need to do anything differently for AI search?
Yes, and it’s part of what we work on. GEO and AEO have become their own practice, and we treat them as one. What’s worth knowing is that solid SEO already covers a large part of visibility in AI answers, since models like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude read much the same signals search engines do. The rest is work we take on where you want to go further.
Can you help with our Google Business Profile and local search?
Absolutely. Managing your profile includes keeping your information accurate, posting regular updates, responding to customer reviews, monitoring performance, and making sure your business is easy to find and appealing to people nearby. For businesses with a physical location, it’s often the highest-return work we do.
Do we need a new website, or can we improve the one we have?
Usually you can improve the one you have. Most sites underperform because of structure, content and user experience rather than the platform underneath, and those are fixable without starting over. We’ll look at what’s there first and tell you honestly if a rebuild is the better investment.
How does a UX audit help my advertising performance?
If you rely on your website as a conversion channel and your advertising spend isn’t returning results, there is a strong possibility there are user experience or design issues that need to be identified and fixed. Ads only get people to the door. What happens after that decides whether the spend was worth it.
Can you write our website content, or do we provide it?
We can write it. Our services cover planning, creating, editing, publishing and regularly updating your website’s content, from product listings to blog posts and campaign pages, keeping it accurate, engaging and optimised for both your audience and search engines. If your team writes, we can edit and structure instead.
Is email marketing still worth it?
Email is one of the few channels you actually own; no algorithm sits between you and the people who signed up. Used strategically it drives conversions, generates leads, brings traffic in person and online, and strengthens your brand through a more personal customer experience. The list is an asset that keeps working after the campaign stops.
What's included in email marketing services?
Strategy, audience segmentation, newsletter design, and automations. In practice that means deciding what gets sent and to whom, splitting your list so people receive something relevant, designing templates that hold your brand, and setting up the sequences that run on their own once someone subscribes or buys.
Can you work with our existing website, developer and CMS?
We work closely with in-house teams and external developers, and we’re comfortable across the common content management systems. The same applies to campaigns and accounts you already have running; we’d rather pick up what’s working than restart for the sake of it.
What do you report, and how often?
Monthly, on what moved and what didn’t. The metrics depend on what the work is meant to achieve, so a local business tracking calls and visits gets a different report from an e-commerce account tracking revenue. We agree what counts before we start, so the report answers the question you actually have.
